This registration is proof that your training meets internationally accepted standards of quality. Upon completion you become eligible to register as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level (RYT-500). This is the highest teaching credential in the Yoga Alliance system. This certificate opens doors to teaching opportunities worldwide. You can lead your own 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training. It establishes you as a senior yoga guru.
Our faculty houses traditionally trained yoga teachers. Our gurus are people who have dedicated their lives to the practice and teaching of authentic yoga. Each instructor holds multiple years (and in many cases decades) of teaching experience. They are Registered Yoga Teachers (E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance. They have trained 1000s of yoga teachers from around the world.
We are talking decades of experience for most of them. So they know how to teach. They can take something that is thousands of years old and make it make sense to you today, without watering it down. That is rare.
Rishikesh is stunning. There is no other word for it. People do not call it the world's yoga capital for nothing. We picked this location very deliberately because honestly, where else are you going to learn yoga surrounded by Himalayan forests, with the Ganges just a short walk away, and weather that is perfect for practice pretty much all year?
Rishikesh has a spiritual atmosphere. Plus it is literally where sages have practiced yoga for centuries. So you are not just learning yoga in isolation. You are soaking up an entire healing tradition that has been part of this land for centuries.
Something that bugs us about a lot of 500-hour programs is that they basically just stretch out a 200-hour course over more days and call it "advanced." That is not what we do. Our curriculum is actually structured to build on itself. The first month gives you a solid foundation. Then the second month when we push you into advanced practices. The second month teaches you things that separates a good teacher from a great one. You will learn things here that most teacher training programs do not even touch. And that is going to set you apart when you start teaching.
We cap our batches at 15-20 students. No exceptions, no matter how many applications we get. You are not just a number in a large class. This leaves enough space for the instructor to give individual attention. This is better than those large classes cramming 50-60 people together. Our classes help you develop meaningful teacher-student relationships. It is better for peer learning too. You will actually get hands-on adjustments that are specific to your body.
Compared to similar programs in Western countries, our 500 Hour YTTC offers exceptional value without quality compromise. The course fees include not just the training but also accommodation options. It includes 3 sattvic meals daily, course materials, and a certificate upon completion. Our all-inclusive course eliminates hidden costs. It is much more affordable compared to Europe or North America.
