Program Overview
If life has been exhausting lately and your body is asking for a real reset, you have landed at the right place. We welcome you to our 7, 14 & 21-day Ayurveda retreats in Rishikesh. You can select the one that fits you the best. We have built our program around authentic Ayurvedic detoxification, personalised dosha consultations and therapeutic treatments, combined with gentle yoga and meditation. The entire retreat is designed to cleanse and rebalance your body, mind & spirit. You could be completely new to Ayurveda. Or you could already know your dosha and want deeper healing. Our Rishikesh Ayurveda retreats cater to all experience levels.
Rishikesh is the perfect place for this purpose. Nestled amidst the Himalayan foothills and pine forests, it is rightly called ‘the world's yoga capital’ and home to some of India's most authentic Ayurvedic practitioners. Surrounded by mountain views & the sacred Ganges, the beauty of it all will make you put your phone down without even realizing it.
Ayurveda retreats are not one-size-fits-all. Some people need a quick detox. Others want deep, lasting healing. We have designed three different retreat lengths. Because we know everyone is starting from a different place.
The one-week retreat is our most popular option (and for good reason!). It is long enough to give your body a genuine detox. It takes most people 2-3 days just to stop checking work emails compulsively. But it is also short enough that you won't need to negotiate with your boss for a month of leave.
In a week, we focus on gentle cleansing and rebalancing. You will have an initial dosha consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor. You will receive daily therapeutic treatments suited to your body type. You will also practice gentle yoga twice daily and be introduced to pranayama (breathing exercise) that calms your nervous system. We also throw in some yoga & Ayurveda philosophy sessions. These are not the boring lectures, but practical conversations about how to live in balance.
The best part is that you also have free time. Actual unstructured free time. Walk along the Ganges. Read that book you have been carrying around for months. Take a nap. Revolutionary concept, we know.
Two weeks is not just a longer version of the 7-day retreat. It is fundamentally different because you have time to go deeper without rushing. In week one, you settle in, receive your dosha consultation and begin your treatment cycle. You can still mentally organize your to-do list back home.
By week two, your body stops fighting the 6am wake-up call. Your digestion improves. You start noticing things. The 14-day program includes a fuller course of Ayurvedic treatments made for your body type, along with daily yoga and meditation. We explore Ayurveda in depth, one of India's ancient healing traditions. We organize excursions to local temples & cultural sites. Healing is not just what happens on the treatment table. It is understanding a whole way of life.
Fair warning. People who do the 14-day retreat often tell us they wish they had signed up for 21-days.
Our 3-week retreat is for those who are serious about change. It is built to fundamentally shift how you live your life. It is the change you are waiting for. Science backs this up. It takes about 21 days to form new habits and start rewiring neural pathways. So this retreat will not just detox you. It is giving you enough time for these practices to become part of who you are - not just something you do.
You will receive a comprehensive Ayurvedic consultation, a personalized treatment plan, and the full course of therapies designed for your dosha. You will practice gentle yoga daily with our most experienced teachers. Meditation sessions go from introductory techniques to advanced practices. We cover Ayurvedic philosophy and daily-living principles comprehensively.
People who complete 21 days go home differently. You will see not only spiritual but practical differences. They maintain their practice. They handle stress better. They have made friends from around the world. They know themselves better. It is a big commitment, yes. But sadly, so is staying stuck where you are.
Besides the obvious reason of being by the Ganges, your Ayurveda retreat in Rishikesh will give you a lot more. You will receive a personalised dosha consultation and treatment plan from our Ayurvedic doctors. The intensity and depth of your therapies will be tailored to the duration of your choice. You will learn proper daily-living principles rooted in Ayurveda. By the time you leave, you will have detoxified and rebalanced your body. You will have cultivated balance throughout your system. At the same time, you will experience deep physical relaxation.
Your retreat begins with a one-on-one consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor. Together, you will identify your dosha (body constitution) and any current imbalances. This forms the basis of your entire treatment plan. Every therapy, meal and daily routine recommendation flows from this initial assessment. Because Ayurveda is never one-size-fits-all, it is always personal to you.
Pranayama is the ancient science of breath control and a core part of Ayurvedic healing. We teach various breathing techniques as part of our retreats. We teach you how to use breath as a tool to support your treatments and detox process. You will learn how to use it to calm your nervous system. It also helps increase energy and mental clarity. Many participants say pranayama becomes their go-to tool when they are back home and stress hits.
Our Ayurveda sessions explore the actual principles behind the treatments - the doshas, agni (digestive fire), ama (toxin build-up) and dinacharya (daily routine). We keep these discussions practical and applicable. We don't give esoteric lectures for which you need a Sanskrit dictionary to follow. These sessions provide context and meaning to your treatments, so you can keep applying what you learn long after you leave Rishikesh.
Ayurveda is one of India's oldest healing traditions. And our retreats incorporate authentic practices. Depending on your retreat length, you will receive various treatments. We customize these to your dosha (body constitution). These are not spa treatments but are actual therapeutic interventions based on Ayurvedic principles. These work to detoxify your body and bring balance to the body's natural systems. It facilitates deep healing. Treatments we use are therapeutic massages, herb use & other time-honored Ayurvedic practices.
Diet is vital for your retreat experience. We give you sattvic vegetarian meals 3 times a day. This means pure freshly prepared food. They will be made of vegetables, legumes, grains, fruits. No meat, no eggs, minimal processed ingredients. Sattvic diet supports your yoga practice thoroughly.
We offer clean & comfortable stays. Our rest houses are designed to support rest and restoration. You can choose shared or private rooms. Each comes with a peaceful sanctuary where you can relax and integrate your daily experiences.

It also gives you time for adventure and exploring this new place. You will also have free time for personal reflection. You could simply walk along the Ganges or enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
